Nusa Penida – one of the most beautiful islands in Asia

It is hard to imagine now, but until recently this small island remained overshadowed by Bali, its bigger and more famous sister island. Until today, unspoiled nature has been preserved there. Why? Indonesians used to think of it as the black magic island. They believed it was inhabited by demons and warlocks. This is bait to lure tourists who are eager not only for great views but also thrill-seekers. More and more often they post photos with hashtags #nusapenida, #nusapenidabali and #kelingkingbeach on Instagram.

What is worth seeing on this paradise island? Certainly the famous Tyrannosaurus-shaped cliffs on wild, inaccessible Kelingking Beach. If you go there, don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes, water, and provisions. Other instafriendly spots on the island include Diamond Beach and Broken Beach as well as the Palau Seribu viewpoint from which you can see the rocks emerging from the azure sea. Visiting the Gua Giri Putri temple carved in a cave or the natural pools of Angel’s Billabong will make you feel a tinge of excitement.

Pig Beach – pigs on an exotic beach

A real treat for travelers will be a visit to the uninhabited island of Big Major Cay in the Bahamas. This place enraptures with heavenly views and … swimming pigs! Yes, exactly – wild pigs with lovely spots on their backs soak up the sun or bathe on the sand as smooth as silk and in azure water. The world heard about them in 2009. Since then, this island, so far avoided by tourists, has become one of the targets of lovers of both animals and photography.

Excursions to Pig Beach are offered by local travel agencies, such as those from Fowl Cay and Staniel Cay. Many visitors take provisions with them as bait for pigs that can swim up to several hundred meters from the shore. You can also meet wild cats and goats on the beach. A real paradise zoo, isn’t it?

Tulum – wildlife and the Mayans

Mexican Tulum also ranks high among the instafriendly exotic paradises. It offers more than you would expect from one place. Here you will find Mayan ruins, rich jungle vegetation, and cenotes that can be found almost exclusively on the Yucatan Peninsula. These natural karst wells in limestone rocks attract tourists craving for unusual views. Search for the hashtags #grancenote, #tulum, #tulumvibes or #tulummexico and find out that they are the essence of natural beauty.

Swings have been created in many cenotes, on which you can swing over the water for a small fee. This is how Instagram shots are taken! In the 140-meter long Gran Cenote, you can swim or walk on wooden footbridges. In the area, be sure to visit the pre-Columbian Mayan city with the famous El Castillo. You will also take great photos in the location of Templo del Dios del Viento, i.e. the temple of the god of wind situated on a hill on the seashore.

Praia do Camilo Beach is located in a quiet cove and its shore is surrounded by magnificent high cliffs. To get there, you have to go down several dozen steps of wooden stairs. It’s really worth it! In the area, the impressive Benagil Cave with a huge hole in the “ceiling” is also worth seeing. This is one of the most photographed places on the Algarve coast. The Ponta da Piedade viewpoint with its characteristic rock bridge suspended over the water is also a must-see spot.

Navagio Beach – an unusual sight in paradise

What makes a given place an Instagram hit is not only its natural beauty. It must also attract with an aura of mystery, an amazing story or, as does Navagio Beach, a camera-ready shipwreck. The rusty Panagiotis ship against the background of a magnificent cliff falling into the intensely azure water makes a really electrifying impression. Check it by typing #navagiobeach and #navagiozakynthos in the search engine.

Shipwreck Bay, as the Navagio beach is also called, is the main attraction of this part of Zakynthos. You can get here by sea, for instance, using regular water taxis running from Porto Vromi. The route passes the so-called Blue Grottoes you can jump into from the deck of the ship in windless weather. Want to see and photograph Navagio Beach from a bird’s eye view? Go to the viewpoint at the top of the cliff overlooking the pebble beach. You will get there by car or public transport.
